Taipei - Singapore - Day 12 (27th Feb Mon)

** A pic with my god-mum at the airport. Dun laugh at me...I didn't sleep...wearing specs...no make-up.....messy hair...aiyah...will not see anyone at the airport on lah.. hee heee... =p

Slept till 1pm....because we came home only at 6am...so tired.
My flight back to Singapore is 6.25pm.

Quickly got up to pack my luggages......
Didn't go anywhere today....too tired and boy...my luggages....sure overweight!!!!
It's like 6 big bags....I only came with 2 bags...OOPS!!!

Dead....surely overweight and JetStar fines heavily for excess baggage. My plan: intend to go to the check-in area and see if there is anyone who can check-in with me. Then I can share his/her baggage space.
Most of the time, 'attack' man travelling alone...cos their luggages are always the LEAST!!!!

Waited and waited...finally I saw this guy.....YEH!!!! Went up to him and ask if he can help me. He looks startled at first....cos he thought i'm a Taiwanese...and he asked "do you have drugs??"
Hee......
After which he saw my Singapore passport, and he is a Singaporean too...so ok lah...should be safe right? So we checked-in together.

On the plane, talked to him for entire 4hours....my goodness...I must say the world is sooooo small.
We chatted for almost 1hour...and then suddenly asked each other where do we work. GUESS WHAT??????
He is my ex bf's colleague.....and same office....
Well.......VERY 'qiao' right??????

So many insurance agents in Singapore, so many offices,....have to be the same... fainted lah!!!!
But hee.....luckily I met him, because I wouldn't be able to carry so many luggages on my own...hee hee...

SINGAPORE SO HOT!!!!! I'm back.....who wants to jio me for mj or ktv this weekend???? hee.. =p

Taipei - Day 11 (26th Feb Sun)

After my hangover....went to Taipei station to meet my godsis. She had went out earlier to meet her friends.
Went to shop at 'Wu Fen Pu' again.....quite alot of clothes to buy!!!

After shopping....we brought our 'bags' back home first. Rest for awhile.....then decided to come out again.
Going to meet some friends to go clubbing. It's my last night in Taiwan....so have to make full use of it!!!
After we reached the club, it's already 2am...the club close at 3am.....hmm...abit not worth it right? So in the end, we decided to go to KTV...
YEH!!!!
My favourite!!!!
Sang all the way till 6am.......well.....bye bye Taiwan.... =(

Taizhong - Day 7 (22nd Feb Wed)

Oops...I forgot about today's happenings..shall add it in now. No wonder I can't seem to tally it with my pics!

Today went to sch with my friend till noon.
The lecturer didn't really noticed that there is a new face in the class..and I even took out my piano theory homework to do. hee hee

There is a very popular church in Dong Hai university. The angle of the slope allows the building to be constructed this way. Many couples like to come here to take wedding pictures....
Hmm....I don't have hubby....so this little boy take pics with me! He is so cute...he was running around the church with his mummy....so I went to play with him! =p


after sch, we went back to our hostel.....on our way, pass by a shoe shop and there is a very cute dog....played with the dog. And the shoes were so cheap. I bought 12 pairs...OOPS!!!!
Really very pretty...I cannot resist.....
We actually stayed in the shop for 2hours choosing shoes and playing with the dog.....=p

After that, went to KTV with my godsis' classmates. The KTV in Taizhong is GREAT!!! The rooms are not rooms. They come in the form of huts. Like our chalets.
Very big and spacious. Each has a toilet inside. And we can enjoy freeflow food and drinks!!! All for $15.
Shiok right??? Too bad...Singapore don't have...sianz....


After KTV, it's about 12midnight. My godsis brought me to eat mala steamboat. She said I cannot miss this because it is the BEST in Taizhong. It's called 'Mala Wang'.....it's quite ex...but I must say..it's very good.
The restaurant opens 24hours........so midnight, there are still alot of customers....surprised man!!!
The interesting thing is, they allow people to 'pack' home the soup after everything. So before you settle your bill, you must ask the waitress to fill up the soup. Then ask her to pack.
Most people came here to drink the soup.....that's why.

A long day..time to sleep.... =)

Taipei - Day 10 (25th Feb Sat)

Morning...went to Guan Du temple to pray.....
Prayed for
1) Parents' health and happiness
2) My career
3) My love life
4) Everyone to be happy around me

After Guan Du, we went to 'Shi Shan Hang' to visit. Went to the museum...abit boring lah...cos it tells the story about how Taipei is formed.

Geography stuff.....
The view was perfect though.Happened to have a dog gathering ...so many dogs!!! i went to play with the dogs!!!
so cute!!!

After that, rent some bicycles and we went to cycle.
Cycle up the hills, to the beach......all the rocks...i must say quite challenging and my buttock hurts!!!!

After cycling, we rewarded ourselves with seafood.

Took a rest at the wharf.....a silent moment for awhile...

After seafood, the night start with another round of adventure! We went to club!! Wah....Taipei's pub is MORE happening then Singapore's! The people there are really rouldy and daring!
I had fun too...made a new fren.....ABC somemore...hee hee...=p


Drank too much....after that....went home and started sleeping like mad...head hurts....

Taipei - Day 9 (24th Feb Fri)

Today is another beautiful day... =p

Went out with Jack today, my new Taiwan fren.
He brought me to "Bi Tan"....a lake in Taipei.
Quite a nice place....and we can 'water-cycle' at the lake.....the view is great and the weather good!
Although most of the time, I wasn't peddling.. hee hee....

Played quite a few arcade games with him. We played "scissors, paper, stone" up the stairs...hee hee...who wins will go up one step!
I was lucky I guess...... Won almost every game!

Another game we played...the loser will have to do push-ups in the middle of the MRT station. Wow...luckily I won....can't imagine how I can do push-ups in public in the crowded MRT station!
I thot he was joking...but he really did the push-ups....was laughing like crazy till tummyache! =p

Met my aunt for dinner.....after dinner....Jack brought me to Wu Fen Pu....a shopping place in Taipei.
Great shopping....met another fren John....he came to join the both of us.
But I didn't really shop much although there was REALLY LOTS of shopping and beautiful clothes to be done!
Felt bad and uneasy that 2 guys were following and shopping with me....not too nice to make them wait.... =p

Well...also good.....cos I think my luggage is way way overweight already... hee hee...
but the clothes really very nice....sigh...hee =p

Went home after shopping...quite tired....a long day.......BUT VERY HAPPY!!! =p

Taipei - Day 8 (23rd Feb Thu)

This morning.....slept till quite late....11am.
Then after that, went to a dog cafe...meaning.....dogs can be brought into the cafe.
It's a super romantic place...nice and cosy too!

After lunch, going to take a bus to go back to Taipei. I'll be going back to Taipei alone as my fren needs to stay in Taizhong for 1more day to study.
Another new fren that I've made will be picking me up.

So nice of him, he invited more friends to come along as well! =)
Went for dinner and then KTV....
lalala..singing again!!!

Sang till 10pm....then we drove up to "yang ming san" to catch the night scenery.
My goodness....the night is so FOGGY!!!
The roads have no lights....so foggy...really quite excited....all the bents......SHIOK!
When we reached the top of the mountain....it was SO FOGGY we couldn't see anything!
So had to drive back down to the middle of the mountain.


Enjoyed the beautiful night scenery and went home at 3am.....love the Taipei night life!!! =)

Taizhong - Day 6 (21st Feb Tue)

Good Morning everyone! Woke up at 11am...hee hee...not morning anymore =)


Laze around in the hostel till noon....and ride the scooter with my gal fren to Taizhong Train station.
Nope...we are not taking the train. Taking the bus instead to this place called "Gu Guan".
The entire bus ride is about 2 hours.

This is another place in Taiwan famous for it's hotspring.
Both me and my gal fren were wearing super high heels....oops...wrong choice!!!
The mountains where the hotspring is.....oh oh....full of stones and slopes....so guess what both of us did?
We took out our shoes and walked barefooted all the way to the hotspring!
Quite fun.. hee....cos everyone was staring at 2 well-dressed gals...but barefooted carring our high heels...haha!

The hotspring was TERRIFIC!!! Hot up to 42.4degrees...cold down to 14degrees....we have to alternate between hot and cold so as to promote blood circulation.
Really relax for a few hours.....SHIOK!

About 7pm, we headed back to the bus......but we were late! So within 5 mins, we had to sprint back UP the slopes with all the pebbles and stones ground.
Same...we had to take off our shoes but this time round....we had to SPRINT!!!
Gosh....both of us were super super breathless......never ran so fast eversince JC....gosh....
somemore upslope....almost took my breathe away!!!! =p

After another 2 hours ride, we were back to city. Went to Feng Jia night market again.
Dinner includes 1) Chicken chop, 2) Taiwan Sausage, 3) Xian Shu Ji, 4) Fried Oyster, 5) Mian Xian etc etc....
YUMMY!!!!
Shopped and shopped again.....and went home at 1am ...tired......

Today's weather is good....sun is out liao....not so cold liao!!! YIPPEE!!!!!

Taizhong - Day 5 (20th Feb Mon)

Early in the morn....I went to Dong Hai Uni with my fren....
My goodness......
The school is so old and tattered......now I know why we are paying so much for our sch fees!
Those from NUS, NTU, SMU......trust me...our schs are 100 times better!!!
Rusty windows grills, chalk boards, fan, primary sch chairs, etc....
Went for German classes and I picked it up very fast because I know English.....easier I guess??? =p

After school, we went to the museum to take some pics.....Not too bad...but not fantastic either. =)

Then we went to watch movie "Munich". Wow...we always complain that it is so ex to watch movies in Singapore. But in Taiwan, the usual rate on a weekday is $10.50!!!!
So ex right????
This movie not too bad...but tends to be a bit draggy.....fell asleep a couple of times....the exciting part are the violent and sexual scenes...
Haha....
I'm quite sure if this movie is screened in Singapore, it will be under R(A) or alot of scenes will be cut.

After movie, went to Yi Zhong Jie....another night market in Taizhong. Shopped till about 11pm and went back.
Have sch tomorrow... =)

Miao Li - Day 4 (19th Feb Sun)

Went to another state today "Miao Li".
2 hours drive from Taizhong.

Friends drove there....went to the 'old village'...to eat 'Hakka' food...this village is famous for it's strawberries. Everything is strawberry - related!
Strawberry cookies, strawberry sausage, strawberry tea etc etc.

After that, drove to the mountains to have a good view at the entire 'Miao Li'....wow...although it was raining, but the view is still fantastic.
Can you imagine if the sky is clear??? WOW!!!!

Then, we drove to another stop to enjoy the scenery over there.....it's breezy , cold and raining as well. But it was still enjoyable...hee

Later on, went back to hostel....and I went shopping again!!!! After shopping...we drove to another mountain to see the night scenery of Taizhong.
SUPER SUPER cold up high on the mountains...climbed the mountains with my high heels.. hee hee....going up can..but coming down so scary...so walked barefoot!!!! Stone massage... hee

After all the climbing...hungry! so we went to buy supper......yummy!!!! =p

Taizhong - Day 3 (18th Feb Sat)

Today...going to visit my friend in the army. Which means...I'm going to Taiwan's army camp!!! It's the visiting day and friends/family are allowed to visit the camp.

WOW....their camp looks like a chalet to me! Not too bad lah...heee heee.......all the army jokes....so funny....
all the botak heads...even more comical! =0

After that, went to have Mala Steamboat.....wow....really 'Ma'....NUMB!!!
But very very delicious! Much much better then our Singapore ones....

Last, headed to Feng Jia Night Market. The biggest night market in Taiwan......
The last time I came here, went mad perpetually cos the clothes are SOOO cheap. But this time round, although the prices are cheap as well...I didn't go as mad because the clothes they are selling are winterwear...doesn't really appeal to me.
So I could only attack accessories and shoes!
Bought 4 pretty shoes!!!! Parents going to kill me man....shoe rack outside my house already filled with my shoes liao!!! OOPS =p

Shopped till 1am....then rode scooter back.....riding on a scooter is not so scary afterall....quite fun actually...!

Taipei - Day 2 (17th Feb Fri)

Well....today woke up at 11am....so cold!!!!
Went to AMC to find my auntie.....wah...her office is big man!
Then after that, went to another merchandising office for a surprise interview.
The Merchandising mgr, HR mgr, SMR, have quite a good impression....
The next big qn is....am I prepared to be relocated to Taipei in 1 months time????

Everything...last till 6pm....went for dinner with my Taiwanese aunties.....western food!
Then we went to Shilin Night market to do some shopping.
Drizzling....so cold!!!!

Ate my favourite Taiwan Mian Xian...SHIOK!!!!

Tonight must sleep early..cos tomorrow going down to Tai Zhong already...=p

Taipei - Day 1 (16th Feb Thurs)

Was about to land...and an announcement was given..."the temperature now in Taipei is 14 degrees"...

Fainted...I didn't bring any thick clothings at all!! Didn't expect it to be so cold! =p

Luckily my DEAREST god-sis... came to find me...and she was hugging a BIG THICK jacket for me!!!!! LOVE HER!!!!

So nice.... =)
We headed back to her house for dinner....wow.....good food leh...all done by her Mum =o

Now..waiting...resting.....going to the hotspring and after that go Shilin Night Market for supper!!!! Looking so forward to the food!!!

At the hotspring....my goodness...hot = 45degrees...cold = 20degrees....
The practise is to switch from hot then to cold x 3 times...haha....so fun!! Extreme hot and then extreme cold....
Went for massage and steam bath also. Finally I can relax ....SHIOK!

After that went to shop shop and eat supper....MORE SHIOK!!!

Today is my last day of work at Kellwood.....

Haven't even handover my job yet...alot of things still under my care..I feeling so stressed! I don't like the pressure that I cannot get my things done properly....

So MANY emails haven't reply...I'm boiling liao!
